3dB Creative Develops Stanton DJ’s "For Life" Magalog

3dB Creative, one of the Seattle area's leading boutique advertising / marketing agencies, has developed For Life, a hybrid magazine-catalog (aka “magalog”) for worldwide DJ products leader Stanton DJ. For Life combines artist interviews, DJ-oriented features, and lifestyle and product marketing pieces to support Stanton DJ’s complete 2008-09 product lineup. 3dB Creative performed all creative direction, design, editing and project management for the 40-page magalog.

“With For Life, we wanted something that would set us apart from other manufacturers’ traditional product catalogs,” noted Stanton DJ’s marketing manager Sarah Lombard. “In addition to having a strong DJ lifestyle component, we wanted it to have a longer shelf life and higher perceived value for our customers. Working with 3dB Creative, each issue of For Life provides a ‘DJ travel guide’ to a different North American city, giving our customers useful information – not just product hype.”

“DJs have really come into their own in recent years, and are now some of the most technology and marketing-savvy consumers out there,” confirmed 3dB Creative’s Director Erik Hanson. “As a result, you can’t come across as contrived, or present a lifestyle aspect that isn’t 100 percent authentic. So we hit the streets of our hometown, Seattle, Washington, and talked to the real working DJs and urban tastemakers, to make For Life very legit. I think this legitimacy comes across in the end results – and the strong reception Stanton is getting from their customers, dealers and partners worldwide.”

Stanton DJ’s For Life magalog is distributed in North America by The Stanton Group, and worldwide through various Stanton Group partners at thousands of retail locations, sponsored events and industry trade shows. A new issue of the For Life magalog will be released approximately every six months as part of Stanton DJ’s ongoing marketing efforts.
